Movies require minors for different performances. But hiring a minor is not comfortable for minors as well as producer/director. Teenagers are never choosey or intelligent enough to understand the nature of the job and employer also finds it difficult to train the minor for the specific role or job.
Many minors try to get the job in the movie because of their parent or guardian wishes or parent may influence minors for the particular job in the movie. The minors also are also not much dedicated to the work due to their little knowledge or immaturity.
Though movie industry offers numerous job opportunities to a teenager or minor but legal limits regarding the working hours of the teenager is also prescribed for minors. This makes it necessary for the teenager to show their age proof for the prescribed age stipulated by the law.
It is also essential that a Minor Release agreement is drawn before hiring a minor in the movie, motion picture or television show. Such agreement should be executed along with the Actor Employment Agreement. Such agreement provides information but it is also valid legal documents and agreement. It is advisable to consult a lawyer or attorney before drawing Minor Release Agreement.
